Re: Bank Websites Have Security Error
I wouldn't be a surprised if that comes down to the fact that Avant uses such an outdated version of Chromium.

Re: Bank Websites Have Security Error
Not exactly a good work around. I have to go through all the 2 factor authentication again, since all the websites would see it as a new browser. Plus, there are all the websites that just randomly don't work anymore, and I'd have to manually enter them in every time I come across them. Like the ima...

Re: Bank Websites Have Security Error
Yes, it auto changes to https. It works fine in IE and Firefox engines, but not in Chrome, I get a security error, pictured below. This breaks a lot of websites. Even going to newegg.com doesn't work probably. The page loads, but half the images don't because they use a secure connection. I would th...

Re: Bank Websites Have Security Error
So is it safe to assume that since there is no response, and no response to other bug threads on the forums, that Avant is dead?

Bank Websites Have Security Error
This morning no banks websites, or other financial websites will open with Avant using the Chrome engine. http://www.chase.com/ It does it with chase as well as several others. It seems like this is caused by an outdated version of Chromium. Can we get an update to Avant to get the latest version of...

Main Page Not Loading
The main page for www.avantbrowser.com does not load. Some of the other pages load just fine, like the download page and the forums(obviously). However, if I click on the change log from the download page, the change log does not load. Attached is the error that comes up when I try to access the mai...

Re: Pages Requiring Logon Crash Chrome Rendering Engine
http://avanttest.ddns.net:14933/gui/ You can use that site to test. It crashes every tab in Avant when you try to go there with the Chrome engine. It will work just fine and pop up a log in dialog if you use the Firefox or IE engines. There aren't that many non-local sites that cause the problem, bu...

Re: Pages Requiring Logon Crash Chrome Rendering Engine
Also, when the crash happens, it crashes every Chrome tab that is open in Avant.
This is a very annoying bug, and it kind of sucks that no one has even acknowledged that is exists...

Re: Pages Requiring Logon Crash Chrome Rendering Engine
I'd also like to add that it does this on all of my computers, so it isn't just an issue with a specific computer.

Pages Requiring Logon Crash Chrome Rendering Engine
Avant Browser Ultimate 2016 Build 9 Any page I go to that normally pops up the log in box causes the Chrome engine to sit at a white screen for a few seconds, then crash to the purple screen. This only happens on pages that pop up the "Authentication Required" box. The best example of this is most c...

Re: 2015 Build 28 Chrome issue
It seems like it is mostly fixed. But now there is an annoying black flicker every time a page loads. And the Avant Home page still doesn't work quiet right. But definitely a lot better.

Re: Size of the text using Chrome rendering
Known problem, since at least 2015 Build 28. I've explained exactly how to reproduce the problem. They refuse to fix it claiming they can't reproduce it. Which I know is BS, because I can make it happen on every single computer I work on.

Re: Avant can not display pages correctly in Chrome engine!
There is already a thread on this. I explained exactly how to reproduce the problem, just like in the first post of this thread. I can reproduce this problem on every computer I own by simply increasing the Windows Scaling option. But they claim they can't, but I have a feeling they aren't even both...

Re: 2016b3 resets search engine to avantfind
Yep, happened to me when updating to 2016 Build 5 too. I'm sure they are doing this because AvantFind makes them money every time you search. I'd use it if it was based on Google, but since it uses the Yahoo search engine, it is useless.

Re: 2015 Build 28 Chrome issue
The problem is easy to reproduce. It doesn't matter what resolution screen you have, just go into Window's display settings and raise the scaling to something higher than 100%. I've done this on a 1920x1080 monitor and the problem happens immediately. I've attached a picture showing exactly where to...

Re: 2015 Build 28 Chrome issue
Yeah, I'm the one that figured out the problem was the display scaling. But have you ever used the smaller display scaling on a 28" 4K monitor? Nothing is readable. I'd need a magnifying glass...
