Re: Avant 2010 Builds 1,2, 3, 6, and 7 all extremely slow

Are you running the 32bit version of XP on your 64bit hardware?
Which anti-malware software are you running on your system?
Sometimes a clean and a reset it enough, clean with CCleaner then:
Close all browsers then go to Control Panel >> Internet Options >> Advanced >> Reset

Re: Bookmark Import impossible?

If you do not have a folder named .default (with a dot at the start) then you are not running the portable version of Orca. To find out where your bookmarks are stored, type "%appdata%" into the Windows Run box. There you will find a folder named "Orca Profiles" . Inside that you will find a folder ...

Re: Bookmark Import impossible?

Check where you are running Orca from and make sure that you have write permissions in that folder.
The portable version stores its bookmarks file in: <Orca Folder>\.default\bookmarks\bookmarks.dat
If you do not have the ability to write there then Orca will fail to import bookmarks, settings, etc.

Try the AdBlock Plus extension from https://adblockplus.org/
If that doesn't work then please provide some URL's where the issue occurs

There are extensions available to circumvent the history stealing bug (which has been around and documented for about 10 years), such as the one attached.

Can you post the mht file? You must remember that some sites are incompatible between IE and non-IE based browsers.

As a quick test, can you check if the error disappears when:
- The second monitor is disabled
- Both monitors are set to the same resolution

Cannot confirm - working fine for me. I assume that switching back to build 122 resolves the issue - otherwise it may be something external affecting it..

Re: Why Avant use different Java Sun than IE ?

Exactly which version did you install? It should be from here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp#win

Then check in: Control Panel >> Java >> select Java tab >> View >> make sure it is enabled.
Also check: Avant Browser >> Tools >> Disable Java Applets >> is not checked.

Sill using IE6? I recommend updating to IE8. I don't know if Avant 2010 has been tested with IE6.
