but now the red logo is back and doesn't seem to match the rest of the webpage.  i'm not saying that i liked the old page better though.

Yeah, what happened to the blue small "a" logo?   ???

I love that blue one; it looks like a gem stone.  This red big "A" is not nearly as 3-D as the blue one.  I just upgraded to 8.02B001 and was shocked to see this new logo.

I would like the blue one back. :-/

For me, with a screen resolution 1600x1200, the old site only used half the page, with huge blue columns on the left and right. Also the whole God Bless America thing was a bit much, in my opinion. Then other things were just out of date, like "IEOpera has a new name" and the red logos.
I agree, but they could just remove that text and the God bless... image without making a new site from scratch  :P

Anyways, you people seem to like the new site, so I guess i shut up  ;D

[and yes, please, bring the blue icon back!]

I was wondering why my previous bookmark (sorry Favorites) never gave me the right page..avantbrowser.net..was this a trial page??

Also, it would be nice to see onthe home page (first page)..brief news about avant development...where it is and where its planning to go?? Just to let people know that its an active. I have seen a sigle line at the top of page that alerts to the latest build, but a short column (with links of course to the detailed news) would be even more tantalizing...just a suggestion.

Cheers! ;)

Hi all. Just got my copy of Avant Browser and I got to tell you all it's just great! (Yes I know I am preaching to the choir but what the heck.)  :D This is after a feature by feature comparison to MyIE2, which came up lacking.

The website is very good too, with clear information attractively displayed. And let's not forget about the skins site too! Great stuff all.

Just one tinsy, weensy thing. When I downloaded Avant I received v8.02 build 105 and when I ran update was informed that I had the most recent copy, which would be fine except that when I went to the website headline news was that build 106 was the latest and the greatest. So unless it became available between the time I ran the update check at about 18:00 UTC and the time I went to the main Avant website at around 19:15 UTC the newest is not being recognized by the update check.

What Happened to the Forum Link on the Main page?

Are those who dont have a forum link in their Favorites out of luck?

Nobody knows why it was removed........here is the link for anyone who wants to copy and add it to their favorites........I have it on my quicklaunch area with it's own icon so I can just click and not have to worry about looking in favorites or links.....

Yep......that's me Eric ;D

Much easier than looking in favorites, although I have it in my links drop down also, which is also easy...Quick launch is better tho......just made a shortcut, dragged it to Quick launch area and changed the icon to something I liked...
To each his own.... ;)

Ehm... I question the usefulness of posting a link to the forum in the forum!

ahem.....you are probably right Sergei, but Joe935's post  had a concern for those people who may not have the link in their favorites......so what's wrong with posting the link here....??  It's not available in the Help drop down or on the browser home page...so, if anyone reads the thread and decides to add the link to their links or favorites.......all the better...

agreed.  The only other option seems to be a google search.  I'd sure like to see the forum link back on the homepage or better in the help menu.
fire it up!

What's that, an email hash experiment? An email pound experiment?

An email teeny tiny tic-tac-toe board experiment...?

I'm sure someone has already suggested this, but why not just put a link to the forum in your links on AB? That's what I did, when I found the hyperlink gone from the AB home page. I was lucky, as I remembered it was forum.avantbrowser.com...
