That's all the detail there is unfortunately. I talked to anderson personally about this and really there is nothign else to know. Hopefully a beta version with the popup blocker will come out soon (within a few days).

'Minimal collateral damage' and 'entire star system' do /not/ belong in the same sentence.

Daring to be different, Hadlaat's used the message title field to specify the question: "What about the GDI obects bug?"

Well at the moment I've got 2,564 of 'em for Avant, so I'd say ther short answer is "No"...

I believe the program is faster and no, framework is not needed. Anderson meant the framework of the program itself.

Well, I just checked my GDI - and it's only showing 1,156, and that is after having my system running for 9 hours now and still going strong...

Also, I noted with this 106 new version - it's using alot less system resources, at least on 'my' system, than the 105 was (so, I'm VERY happy about that one)...

And, YES, it 100% "feels" MUCH faster than the others!

So - heck, I'll just keep this one running, til there is another that can top it - as I've run every single one of the last versions back to the 7.xx's - and this is the best of the bunch (again, on my system)...  And, I have not just done a reinstall or anything like that - I just "always" maintain a clean and optimized and maintained system - and don't typically seem to have the issues that others have with Avant!!!

Darn, I LOVE THIS BROWSER!!!!!!!!!!!  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)

Um, is it just me or is version 106 actually version 107?

At least, that's what it said when installing and also in Help/About.

Yaaay, we have a new build, before it's even on the site! Talk about early adoption...

In the new build the bug that the menu option "Save all Opened Pages and Exit" did NOT save all pages on exit has been tackled!!! :D

Again a quick respons of Anderson to this bug reported here in the forum... :D
Thanks to him and to all the mods!

And... I (again) have the feeling this new  build is quicker...(but of course I can be wrong; I didn't do a Speedtest like Segei....)

Regards,

T-PO
