avant acting weird

Post by ahawk » Tue Jul 03, 2007 12:34 am

when I open avant it does not go directly to my homepage, instead it opens the last link I was on the last time I used it. Also, when going to a new address, it does not appear on my screen, I have to click the tab on the menu bar below...I have ver. 11.5 and this also started happening on my old version 11.0 HELP!

For the first issue, it sounds like instead of closing, you're actually minimizing Avant to the system tray or having Avant automatically save its pages when closing and open them when you restart. Take a look at Tools -> Avant Browser Options ->:

Tray Icon and then Exiting.

For the second issue, check the box at Tools -> Avant Browser Options -> New Window -> Always create new browsing window in the: -> Foreground.

If you continue to have problems for both of these issues, please start a new thread for one.
