Trouble installing WMP plugin

Post by AlvinPing » Tue Sep 23, 2008 6:05 am

I'm having trouble installing the Windows Media Player plugin for Orca. When I click the box that says "Install missing plugin," it brings me to this page:

http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows ... nload.aspx

After running the setup downloaded from there, Orca still does not find a WMP plugin. Any tips?

Te lo instala en la carpeta C:\Archivos de programa\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins

Copia el archivo y pegalo en C:\Archivos de programa\Orca\plugins

Traduced con Goolge traductor:

You install on your C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins

Copy the file and paste it in C:\Program Files\Orca\plugins

Unfortunately, I do not have a standard installation of Firefox on this computer. I do, however, have Firefox portable; I checked its plugins folder, and there is no trace of a WMP plugin! I do not know where the installer put the plugin file.

Crea una carpeta nueva en: C:\Archivos de programa\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins como si estuviera instalado Firefox; a mi me lo hizo así,

Traslated by Reverso:

He creates a new folder in: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins as if Firefox was installed; it made it to my me like that,

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_Media_Player :

The plugin installer adds the file "np-mswmp.dll" to the Firefox installation directory plugins folder, typically "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins". If Firefox is not installed or if the Firefox installation directory cannot be located, the plugin will be placed in another location such as C:\Program Files\Plugins

Thanks for the link yaspaju. I found it in D:/PFiles/Plugins and copied the file over to Orca plugins directory, everything works fine now!
