Non-engish pages under w2k (problem with headers)

Post by cpu » Wed Sep 24, 2003 11:09 am

Hi

I have a little problem with windows headers (and because of that, with tabs also).

If the header is in russian, instead of normal letters I get only ??????????... In Internet Explorer everything is fine - the header is as it should be.

In "Regional settings", "Language settings for the system" as the default value has "Western Europe and United States". I cannot switch on the "Cyrillic" because of some reason (need the supporting for german letters).

thanks

Have an example URL?
'Minimal collateral damage' and 'entire star system' do /not/ belong in the same sentence.

The problem is still exists. I can't post screenshot from Avantis Browser Options, but "Recently Opened Pages" contains a lot of ????? instead of russian symbols

I think the problem is in internal functions which do not use unicode (non-unicode apps in windows wants to see the correct system location to use a correct font)

It's quite annoying because, all tabs buttons in russian looks for me like ??????????

Yup, i think it is because of unicode related issues.  Anderson should be aware of it, but I don't know when to expect a fix.
