Can anyone tell me the difference between Web Search and Other Search under Avant Browser Options, Search Engine?


Also, is there anyway of importing Search Engines from Google Chrome?

The Web Search entries show up as selections in the Search Bar.

In your screenshot, Google is checked, so if you have the Search Bar turned on in your toolbars, you should be seeing the Google icon in it. Clicking on that icon will give you a drop down and will let you choose AvantFind, Yahoo, or, causing the Search Bar to use those engines when searching.

Placing search strings in the Other Search tab means their icons won't appear in the search bar.

It's basically an 'organization' thing.
