Avant crashes when downloading with DAP

Hi there,

I've seen this too many times to think it is not a bug. I use Avant as Browser and Download Accelerator as my downloader. When I click in a link, DAP will download the file. Sometimes Avant will crash, but DAP will stay open. Has someone already seen it before?

Yeah,they are two programs,they won't affect each other.

Two of our users that we support and work with here also had failures using DAP and Avant 11.5 Build 19 and 20.

One of those situations that no matter what we tried, problems were still there, most were repeatable, others very fragmentary in making them happen.

Since we usually use FlashGet instead of DAP here in the offices, we un-installed DAP and installed FlashGet on those problem machines, and all has worked without a hitch from that point on.

Likely you might want to try FlashGet or another down-loader / accelerator, see what happens.

I've never experienced any problems with the latest DAP.
Do you have the same problem with the Internet Explorer?
What's your IE, Windows and DAP version?
What's your Avant Browser's version & build? (Please go to Help>About Avant Browser...)

you may want to try orbit (http://www.orbitdownloader.com) or free download manager (http://www.freedownloadmanager.org). they are all free and fast. works well with vista.
