How few posts does it take to...

Post by Circumlocutus » Sun Jun 05, 2005 2:45 am

get yourself banned?
(posted here because there is no "Forum Discussion" board)

After following a couple of threads started by name not given to prevent a flame war, I get the distinct feeling that member X might be getting the boot after their next few post should that member not change their ways. (Or rather if I was an Admin of my own board, I would consider disposing of their prior & future input very soon if X doesn't realize the purpose of my board.)

So, I'm wondering what is the least amount of posts a member (I don't want their nicknames, just the numbers) has had before getting themselves removed from Avant Browser Forum?

P.S. I am not asking to get banned. :)

Well, I'm on 4654 and nothing is working yet.

By the way, there's no reason to hide my name  I won't start a flame war. Those things tend to spread like a bad virax.

We don't have a set number of posts before you get the boot. Typically, we are pretty lenient. What will happen is one of the moderators will bring a person to the attention of the others. We will keep an eye on that person. If bad behavior continues, and most of the mods agree that it is bad behavior, a private message will be sent to that person asking them to stop what they are doing and why we ask for them to stop.
This usually works.
In the rules of the forum, it says:
Be polite to your fellow avant users. Any foul language or abusive posts will result in immediate deletion of the offending post and repeated usage will result in a lifetime ban for the user.
But, we rarely do delete the post.
But, if you have a person in mind, please PM either me or one of the mods and the reason you think action should be taken. Include a link to the post that made you think this way.

I don't have any issues with anyone here.

After seeing some people not take the hint as to why their threads were locked I thought that some members (mods especially included) might want to let off steam and even let the mindless few know how short a trip to the trash can might be.

Simple really... no post number or anything.. they just have to **** me off is all :)

I have only had to ban 3 people.. and they did deserve it. But that was what.. a year or so ago?

Of course, there are things worse than just banning someone.................Bwahahahahaha

I do hope I spelled that evil laugh correctly--IESpell was of no assistance for some odd reason........
