Skins for the new version of Avant Browser?

I just downloaded the newest version of Avant Browser, and also the newest version of Avant Browser Skin Maker. (3.1) I have tried to make skins and have done it correctly, and saved the skin files to my Avant browser/skins folder, but I am getting the error box every time whenever I try to use one of the skins. They will not load into the browser.

Also, I have downloaded skins from GetSkinned.org, and followed your procedure for "updating" the skin files so they will work in the new Avant Browser, and I get the same error message. The skins can not be used in the new Avant Browser.

Don't you think you should update the Browser skin maker when you update the Browser???? The skin maker is useless for using with Avant Browser 11.7. Not only can I not make any skins, but the previous skins do not work, either. The only skins that do work, are the ones that have been uploaded here to the Forum.

How on earth did you people MAKE those skins, when the Browser Skin Maker does not work???

Yes, this is the exact url that I downloaded the Browser Skin Maker from... I have made and saved several skins to the Avant Browser skins file, and not a single one of them works. I have gone over and over all the advice given in the forum threads, but nothing works.

I just made a skin with the skin maker above & it works fine. Where do you see a version # in Skin maker? You said your's is 3.1 but I see no version # listed on mine.

Can you attach one of your skins that isn't working so I can test?

Yeah, these don't work in Avant. And judging by those screenshots, you seem to be using an older version of skin maker. Have you downloaded and used skin maker in the past? Is it possible you extracted the newer skin maker to a different location and are still launching the old one?

You were right. I had downloaded the first Skin Maker from CNet. I deleted it and re-unzipped the new one. Now I can get busy!
